2000–2006            Postdoctoral Associate, Department of Embryology, HHMI/Carnegie Institution, Baltimore, MD. Research focus: Condensin and cohesin functions in meiotic chromosome organization. Surprised Johns Hopkins University undergraduate student Rizwan Ahmad conducting research.

1997–2000            Research Assitant, Plant Biology, University of Georgia. Research focus: Structure and function of the plant kinetochore. Supervised undergraduate student Lisa Reed conducting research.

1995–1998            Teaching Assistant, Plant Biology, University of Georgia. Courses: Botany 101 Lab and Biology 103 Lab.

1992–1995            Research Assistant, Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Research focus: Lipid composition and plant cold resistance.
